cvs-fast-export software package provides Export an RCS or CVS history as a fast-import stream, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cvs-fast-export
cvs-fast-export is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cvs-fast-export package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cvs-fast-export *
You will get with cvs-fast-export package name, version, architecture and description in a table
